Descripción
La fisicoquímica farmacéutica como área de las ciencias farmacéutica se remonta a los trabajos del profesor Takeru Higuchi de la Universidad de Wisconsin en los años 50, siendo posteriormente introducida en los programas de pregrado y postgrado en ciencias farmacéuticas. En nuestro medio los estudios farmacéutico-fisicoquímicos datan de finales de los años 70, iniciados principalmente por los profesores Alfonso Rodríguez (Q.E.P.D.), Luisa Fernanda Ponce D’León y Fernando Jiménez (Q.E.P.D.), actualmente se incluyen algunos de sus tópicos en las asignaturas Farmacotecnia I y II, y en varios cursos de posgrado ofertados para la maestría y el doctorado en ciencias farmacéuticas de la Universidad Nacional de Colombia. En particular, nuestro grupo estudia fenómenos termodinámicos en disoluciones acuosas y no acuosas.
